Ohio Financial Influencer Accused of Massive Real Estate Scam

An Ohio-based financial influencer is currently entangled in legal proceedings after being accused of orchestrating a deceptive real estate investment plan that resulted in losses exceeding $11 million for investors. Federal charges have been brought against Tyler Bossetti, age 31, who was indicted in the U.S. District Court in Columbus on counts of wire fraud and aiding in the filing of false documentation. According to court filings, Bossetti allegedly participated in a scheme spanning four years, misleading individuals with fabricated promises regarding profitable investments.

In the period from 2019 to 2023, federal prosecutors claim Bossetti solicited short-term real estate investment opportunities through social media platforms and third-party entities. He promised his investors returns as high as 30%, falsely assuring them that these ventures were secured by properties he owned. However, rather than channeling funds into legitimate business activities, Bossetti reportedly diverted the money towards personal luxuries such as extravagant housing and vehicles, cryptocurrency investments, and even paid earlier investors using capital obtained from newer ones—a hallmark of a pyramid scheme.

The allegations further indicate that Bossetti collected over $20 million from investors, yet losses incurred amounted to more than $11 million. Additionally, he is charged with assisting in the submission of a fraudulent IRS form, attempting to disguise his illicit activities. Despite his online persona as a financial advisor and host of the podcast "All For Nothing," which boasts an Instagram following of 124,000, Bossetti's actions have led to significant scrutiny.

Bossetti entered a plea earlier this year, though specifics remain undisclosed due to sealed records. His legal representation has refrained from commenting, and he is set to appear in court for arraignment on July 13. This case highlights the potential dangers of relying on social media personalities for financial advice, emphasizing the need for thorough due diligence before engaging in any investment opportunity.
